Trading Terminal

Wallets and Security

The Wallets screen lists every wallet you use in the terminal. This page also explains how wallet keys are held.

The Wallets screen

A summary strip shows your total balance in SOL, the total value in USD, the number of wallets and the active wallet. A search field filters wallets by name or address.

Each wallet row shows:

  • The wallet name and its tags
  • The address, with a copy button and an explorer link
  • When the wallet was last active
  • Its balance in SOL and USD
  • Receive, Withdraw and a menu with Make Active

One wallet is Active. It is the wallet your trades execute from.

Add a wallet

Three buttons sit at the top of the screen.

ButtonWhat it does
Connect AdapterConnects Phantom, Solflare, Backpack or Glow. These show a Connected tag
Import KeyImports a base58 private key as a trading wallet
New WalletGenerates a trading wallet. You give it a label and an optional address prefix of up to four characters

Trading wallets show a Trading tag.

Use a dedicated trading wallet. Do not import the key of a wallet that holds funds you do not want to trade.

Deposit

Click Receive on a wallet. The window shows the address and a QR code. Send SOL or any SPL token to it. Use the Solana network only. Assets sent from other chains are lost. The Deposit button in the header opens this screen.

How keys are held

Wallet keys are held by Turnkey. Imported keys are encrypted client-side, in your browser, before they reach Turnkey. Sentinel never holds a plaintext private key.

What happens in each case:

  • Import: you enter the key locally. It is encrypted in your browser through the Turnkey secure import flow. Sentinel receives only the encrypted bundle and never sees the raw key.
  • New Wallet: the key is generated inside Turnkey. It never exists in plaintext outside Turnkey.
  • Stored by Sentinel: the public address, the Turnkey reference and the delegation state. Nothing else.

Delegation modes

Each trading wallet has a mode, shown as a tag.

TagMeaning
Local onlyKeys never leave your device. Automation can only run while the terminal is open in your browser
Delegated · EncryptedThe key is held by Turnkey. Signing runs through Turnkey delegated signing, so automation can sign without your browser open

Connected adapter wallets show Local only.

Withdrawals and key export

Withdrawals to external wallets and private key export are not available yet.

Safety controls

  • Emergency stop pauses all automation at once. It sits in Settings, under Safety, and on every automation screen.
  • Spend caps limit what automation can spend per day and per trade.
  • Sessions lists the devices that are signed in. You can revoke a device or sign out everywhere. It sits in Settings, under Account and system.
